Do I need prior knowledge of Japanese?
No, you don’t need any prior knowledge. Doki Flix is designed for all levels, even if you are taking your first steps. There are workshops for beginners and everything is explained in an accessible way. You can move at your own pace.
How do meetings with native speakers work?
Encounters with natives take place in some special workshops and in activities scheduled within the Doki Flix community. They are spaces to practice Japanese in a natural and fun way, with the guidance of a teacher so that you don’t feel lost if you are still starting out.
Are there live classes with Doki Flix?
Yes. Every week there are live workshops on different aspects of Japanese culture: manga drawing, conversation, watching anime with the teacher, Japanese history, cooking and more. If you can’t attend live, the classes are recorded so you can watch them whenever you want.
Is Doki Flix sufficient to prepare for a Japanese language proficiency exam?
Doki Flix is not an intensive course nor is it focused exclusively on official exams such as the JLPT. It is ideal to complement your study, keep you motivated and practice Japanese in real and fun contexts. If your goal is to take the JLPT, we recommend combining it with a course such as Ryuu Kaizen, which is structured to achieve that certification.
